Feed the Children's Project Initiation Process 

 

The main objective here is to clarify the business need and defiant carefully the scope of the project and show clearly that other options have been considered and that this project is the right choice along with the reasons why this is so.

 

The key PMBOK activities within the initiating process group are:

 

1. Assigning the project manager.

2. Identify the project or stage objectives.

3. Identifying the stakeholder needs, expectations, and high-level requirements.  In addition how they are to be managed and communicated with.

4. Defiant and agree the high-level project scope.

5. Define the project success criteria and summary milestones.

6. Identify the order of magnitude budget for the project or the budget for a particular phrase or stage.

7. Ensure that the project is aligned with the organizations strategic goals.
